If it's eating out and entertainment you love, we have that too! Harrison is full of things to do, and we are right in the middle of some of the best natural and retail resources in the state! We are a perfect vacation spot, and then when you love it here...we will help you find a house for sale or that perfect retirement community. 

OUTDOOR FUN

Located in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, Harrison is lucky to have a moderate climate with four distinct seasons and plenty of outdoor opportunities. Enjoy fishing our world-class lakes and rivers for trout, small mouth bass, walleye and more. Fishermen travel from all over the country for fishing tournaments on our waters.  

Hiking the many trails along the Buffalo National River, mountain biking a steep trail or a road cycling our beautiful highways. Campgrounds across the area are numerous - whether you prefer to go RV camping or tent camping, find a nice spot by your favorite body of water and enjoy. Caving is another fun activity - the hills and mountains offer many caving opportunities.

Canoeing and kayaking the twists and turns of the Buffalo National Waterway, just a half hour from Harrison, is a favorite activity for residents and visitors alike. Bring your own boats or rent from local concessionaires. And for the daredevils, enjoy whitewater rapids, especially in the spring months.

Scenic driving tours for vehicles and motorcycles during the peak fall season will take your breath away. Don't miss scenic Highway 7, just south of Harrison, known worldwide for its amazing overlooks and mountainous twists and turns. Stop in Jasper, Arkansas for some ice cream and a dip in the river. And in the summer, grab the kids and the lifejackets and hit Table Rock or Bull Shoals lakes for endless boating and fishing fun. 

Golfers will love the many golf courses in the area, ranging in size and difficulty levels. 


SHOPPING

Harrison has a small town charm with the conveniences of a big city. That is especially true with the shopping. You'll find everything you need, from a Walmart Supercenter and a JCPenny's to unique boutiques, plenty of high end resale shops, and a great selection of restaurants. Branson Missouri, famous for its outlet mall shopping and live musical entertainment, and most recently, the addition of the upscale outdoor shopping mall The Landing, is just 35 miles north on highway 65.  An hour north, in a much larger city, Springfield Missouri, you'll find all the big city retail therapy you need, from malls to big lot stores. Eureka Springs, an eclectic town full of shopping and historical sites, is 43 miles east of Harrison. 

DINING

Harrison is home to over thirty restaurants, from all your fast food choices to steaks and fish to some unique eateries known as Harrison hot spots. If eating out is your thing, we have plenty to keep your taste buds happy.
